Bring in your old yoga mat and we will donate it to the
Community Carbon Project and give you $5 OFF a new mat!!
The Community Carbon Project was started by 3 friends who are glassblowers by trade. In their trade, glass is an expensive commodity, and they realized how much glass is thrown out each year by consumers. They decided to start the Community Carbon Project in order to reintroduce these waste bottles to consumers as useful products, such as drinking glasses, carafes and vases. Being an artistic process, no two are the same, but they are a welcome addition and conversation piece for any home or business.

THANK YOU FOR ALL OF YOU WHO GENEROUSLY DONATED FOOD THIS YEAR!!!
öm time Holiday Food Drive! Feed a family and your soul.
When we think of hunger, we often think of the third world, but sadly, hunger is right here in Colorado. Please, join us in sharing our abundance as a community with those in need.
From now through December 19 we will be accepting donations of non-perishable food items for our local food banks at both öm time locations.
Food Bank of the Rockies - Fighting Hunger, Feeding Hope.
We gladly accept all non-perishable food. Here are a few types of canned and dry goods that make nice donations: Tuna, ham, beef stew, chili, baked beans, fruit, vegetables, peanut butter, jelly, soup and pasta. Non-glass containers are preferred.
Paper bags are appreciated as are re-usable shopping bags.

Citrus Fruit for a great cause!!
Just in time for the holidays!
Hello Friend,
Hope this note finds you happy and well. I’m writing to ask your help with a worthwhile cause.
My son Nolan is a sophomore at Boulder High School. Nolan would like to spend part of next summer in Mexico or Latin America working with an organization called AMIGOS de las Americas. AMIGOS is a private, non-profit, non-religious organization which trains and sends high school and college age volunteers to live and work in Latin America during the summer. Sort of a “Peace Corps” type of organization. The organization’s mission is to build partnerships to empower young leaders, advance community development, and strengthen multi-cultural understanding in the Americas. This is not a pleasure trip. Volunteers work hard doing community building work and teaching subjects like English and hygiene while living with host families.
In addition to the $2500 cost for each volunteer’s family, volunteers are required to raise an additional $2500 in order to cover the cost of their trip. The main fundraising activity is the sale of citrus fruit. (oranges and grapefruit) This is the highest quality fruit shipped directly from the Red River area of Texas in early December. Cases are 20# of red grapefruit, oranges, or mixed cases. The count per case is 16-24 for the grapefruit and 36-50 for the oranges. Cost per case is $30. $20 of the purchase price is tax deductable.
I’m hoping that as a restaurant owner, you will be willing to help out by committing to the purchase of a case or two of fruit. I understand the hassle of paying up front for product not yet received and am thus willing to carry the cost of the fruit until we deliver it. Delivery should be December 8th or 9th. I would expect prompt payment at that time in the form of a check made out to Amigos. If you don’t think you can put this bounty to use in your establishment or in your home, another option is to purchase the fruit and have us deliver it to the non-profit of your choice.
During our introduction to the AMIGOS program and having met a number of past volunteers and listened to their stories, I have been most impressed not only with what the participants in this program have been able to accomplish on their trips, but also by the profound positive effect these experiences have had on these young people’s lives. My hope is that my son can realize these same opportunities.
I’m still working out some of the nuts and bolts (ie. tax deductible forms, and other paperwork), but would greatly appreciate it if you could help out with this project. Please reply to me at jplatt@earthnet.net with an order, no thanks, or just any questions you might have. I’ll follow up by phone if I don’t hear from you. Thank you for your consideration.
Sincerely,
John Platt

Off the Mat Into the World After a hearfelt weekend with Seane Corn the Öm Time Community has taken on a challenge to raise funds to support the Cambodian Children's Fund through Seane's foundation, Off the Mat Into the World - www.offthematintotheworld.org.
Cambodia Challenge 2008
Become a leader while saving lives.
Are you ready to make a commitment to truly making a difference in the world and becoming a leader?
Join Seane and Suzanne on an inner and outer journey. We will travel to one of the poorest areas of the world, the garbage dumps of Cambodia where small children fend for their families by picking through the trash.
The Leadership Challenge
We are taking a small group of leaders and setting a significant fundraising goal for each person who comes on the trip. Through the funds we raise, we will be able to leave Cambodia knowing we have saved many lives. This fundraising effort helps us to know that you are a leader who has the ability to find support and manifest a dream. You have all of 2008, until December 31st to achieve this goal, and we will provide training materials and phone support.
Cambodian Children's Fund
Using education, training, healthcare and community work to break generational cycles of poverty and abuse.
Founded in 2003 by Scott Neeson, The Cambodian Children's Fund is dedicated to helping Cambodia's poorest, most undereducated and most vulnerable children.
This program offers protection, comprehensive healthcare, education and vocational training to over 260 children of whom 150 are full-time residents in our facilities. The majority of our children come from Steung Meanchey, Phnom Penh's notorious garbage dump, where they work picking through garbage for recyclable items to sell. With no schooling, no healthcare and no access to basic public services, these children live in appalling living conditions and have little hope of escaping a life of destitution.
To band together as a community to raise $100,000 for the Cambodian Children's Fund. By achieving this goal we will be able to send 5 leaders from our local comunity to Cambodia to work directly with the children.
Please stay tuned to the Om Times and check back with this page frequently for ways that you can help and be involved in this project.
To donate, volunteer or offer suggestions email Amber here. We would love to hear from you!
